Tesla has launched a redesigned version of its Model Y electric SUV in major global markets, including China, Europe, North America, and the UAE. The refreshed model, referred to internally as “Juniper,” introduces exterior styling changes, improved range, and new interior technology aimed at strengthening its position in the competitive electric vehicle segment. The updated Model Y features revised front and rear bumpers, streamlined LED lighting, and improved aerodynamics.

Tesla has responded to user feedback by reintroducing traditional steering stalks, replacing the touch-based controls found in previous models. Inside the vehicle, enhancements include a quieter cabin achieved through acoustic glass and upgraded insulation materials. A new rear passenger display has been added, along with ambient lighting and improved climate controls. Certain trims also offer ventilated front seats, powered rear folding seats, and an enhanced sound system.

The Long Range all-wheel-drive version now offers up to 624 kilometers under the WLTP standard, an increase from the previous 533 kilometers. Acceleration has also improved, with the Long Range variant reaching 100 kilometers per hour in approximately 4.1 seconds. The Performance version maintains its 0 to 100 kilometers per hour time of 3.7 seconds. In the UAE, Tesla continues to offer the Model Y through its official website. Customers can choose from Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range, and Performance variants.

    Refined exterior and aerodynamic improvements

Orders can be placed online with a fully refundable AED 700 fee. Delivery estimates are provided at the time of configuration. Global pricing for the refreshed Model Y starts at approximately $59,990 in the United States and €60,990 in Europe. The vehicle is manufactured at several Tesla Gigafactories, including the Berlin-Brandenburg plant, which supplies vehicles to Europe and the Middle East.

Tesla’s Model Y was the best-selling car worldwide in 2023 and 2024, with more than 1.7 million units delivered last year. The Juniper refresh comes as competition in the electric SUV market intensifies, with new offerings from Hyundai, Kia, BMW, and several Chinese automakers. The updated Model Y is being delivered first in China, followed by Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Tesla has confirmed that it will continue offering the pre-refresh Model Y at a lower price point while supplies last. – By Content Syndication Services.

Legionella DNA Discovered at Yankee Stadium

    September 16, 2026

During an investigation into an outbreak in South Bronx, New York City health officials identified Legionella DNA in a Yankee Stadium cooling tower. The city had confirmed 11 cases of Legionnaires’ disease by Tuesday night, with one fatality and three patients still hospitalized. The New York City Health Department detected preliminary positive PCR results in 10 of 24 cooling towers sampled across ZIP codes 10451 and 10456. Yankee Stadium is included in New York City’s South Bronx cooling tower investigation. The impacted zones include sections of Melrose and Morrisania neighborhoods. To trace potential environmental sources of the infection, health officials tested cooling towers, employing PCR testing that can detect Legionella bacterial genetic material but cannot confirm if bacteria are alive. Laboratory culture testing, which can determine the presence of viable bacteria, may take up to two weeks to produce results, according to officials. The Yankees confirmed that the current outbreak has not been linked to Yankee Stadium. The team stated that their cooling towers, installed in 2024, undergo routine water quality assessments, with a Legionella test on Aug. 20 returning negative. Additionally, weekly water and bacteriological indicator tests were performed on Aug. 26, Sept. 2, and Sept. 9, prior to the stadium sample collection by city investigators on Sept. 11. Stadium Cooling Tower Sanitized as Testing Expands Following positive preliminary PCR results, the city directed all 10 affected cooling towers to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, with a deadline of
