SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop services connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026, establishing a new route linking the UAE with northern Poland. The airline will operate five weekly flights between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, with departures scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This new route will offer travelers in Poland’s Pomeranian region direct access to Sharjah by air.

Air Arabia sets five weekly Sharjah Gdansk flights
Sharjah-Gdansk service adds northern Poland to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

Flights on Mondays and Saturdays will see G9 0628 depart Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrive in Gdansk at 8 p.m., while G9 0629 will leave Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reach Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights will depart Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with returns from Gdansk at 1:05 p.m., arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.

Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah after the carrier’s planned December expansion takes effect. The airline already operates routes to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its UAE hub, and will add Katowice on December 17, 2026, just three days after the Gdansk route launches. The Katowice flights will run four times a week, further expanding the carrier’s Polish network.

Gdansk boosts direct connections with northern Poland

The new Gdansk route adds a Baltic coast destination to Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah. The airline’s European destinations also include Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the broader Tri-City area of Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other parts of northern Poland, offering both domestic and international flights for leisure and business travelers across the region.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali stated that Gdansk would broaden the airline’s footprint in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, also emphasized the strategic link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE, noting that Sharjah functions as a transfer hub for onward flights to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. These new flights will enable Gdansk passengers to connect to Air Arabia’s extensive network via its Sharjah base.

Scheduled five-times-weekly flights begin in December

Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, and bookings are now open for the Gdansk route. The airline’s timetable lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 handling the return flights. Services on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will operate with flights G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All scheduled times are local, and the route will operate nonstop in both directions.

The December 14 launch will expand Air Arabia’s direct Polish network just ahead of the carrier’s Katowice service start. With existing flights to Krakow and Warsaw, the addition of Gdansk and Katowice will give the airline four Polish destinations from Sharjah. Gdansk will have five weekly flights, while Katowice will operate four, according to the announced schedules. The carrier confirms that the Gdansk flights will begin in December 2026 with five flights per week as planned.
