SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence direct flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times weekly, creating another direct link between the UAE and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, providing passengers access to two airports serving Amman. The new flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 will depart Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time, while the return flight, G9 170, will leave Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reach Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are open via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month ahead of the first scheduled flight.
This new service from Sharjah expands Air Arabia Group’s existing network in Jordan, which already includes flights from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi links Zayed International Airport with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport, and the airline also operates direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The addition of the Sharjah route provides travelers with another departure point for flights to the Jordanian capital.
Second Jordan Airport Joins Sharjah Network
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, commented that the new service offers travelers an alternative airport option in Amman, enhancing convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a second gateway to Jordan on Air Arabia’s Sharjah route.
Earlier this year in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop services from Zayed International Airport. This operation already served Queen Alia International Airport before adding the second Amman airport. At launch, Air Arabia stated that the Abu Dhabi schedule offered 10 weekly flights to Amman. Now, this two-airport approach will extend to Sharjah as well.
Four Flights Weekly Strengthen UAE-Jordan Links
Throughout the published schedule, the new Sharjah flights will operate under the G9 169 and G9 170 service numbers. The airline’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, and it offers SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can book the new Amman City Airport flights through the airline’s usual sales channels before the scheduled start in November.
This November launch enhances Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan via multiple hubs. Sharjah passengers will gain direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport, while passengers from Abu Dhabi already have services to both via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also maintains a direct route to Amman City Airport, and the new Sharjah flights will add four weekly departures to the group’s Jordan schedule.
