RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to resume daily nonstop flights connecting Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This route re-establishes a direct link between the UAE emirate and the southern Indian state of Kerala. Ticket availability is now open across the airline’s sales channels, with the route linking Ras Al Khaimah International Airport to Kozhikode International Airport. The airline announced the service’s return on October 6.

Offering passengers an additional direct connection between the UAE and India, the daily flights will enhance travel options. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a key city situated on Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify departure or arrival times, nor did it reveal which aircraft model will operate the resumption flights. Flight numbers for the October restart have yet to be published by Air Arabia, but travelers can review schedules at the time of booking.

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, expressed enthusiasm for the route’s return, emphasizing that the daily flights would provide a convenient link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also highlighted the demand for travel between these two locations. The statement focused on connectivity, flight frequency, and the confirmed restart date, but did not include passenger forecasts or traffic estimates. No additional operational adjustments were announced alongside the route’s revival.

Daily Flights Expand Ras Al Khaimah Network

The reinstated Kozhikode route will join several international destinations served from Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, Air Arabia operates nonstop flights to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar from the emirate, with Kozhikode rejoining this network from October 16. The airline began its operations from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014 and has since maintained it as one of its UAE bases.

The Kozhikode route was first launched on November 22, 2023, initially offering three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, operated by Airbus A320 aircraft with flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The new schedule will increase the route to a daily service, although the airline has not confirmed whether the previous flight numbers will be reused or the specific operating times for the resumed flights.

Tickets Available for October 16 Launch

Passengers can purchase tickets via the airline’s website, call center, or travel agencies, with these options confirmed alongside the route announcement. The airline has not disclosed when the original Kozhikode service was halted nor the reason for the pause. Starting fares and aircraft assignments were not provided, but the route, daily operation, and October 16 launch date are confirmed.

This restart reconnects Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala with a nonstop service nearly three years after the route first opened, replacing the previous three-times-weekly schedule with daily flights. The service will again operate directly between the two airports without stops. Travelers interested in flight times, fares, or flight numbers should check current booking details before traveling. Air Arabia has not announced any additional changes to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily restart.
